Joe And The Camel

Joe And The Camel by the Editor

In the immense Sahara Desert, there was a man named Joe. Joe was a tent-to-tent sales man who sold assorted Girl Scout Cookies that he borrowed from his friend’s station wagon. One day when Joe was admiring his inventory, a camel poked his head through the tent door. Joe recognized the camel instantly because it was the notorious criminal known as Camel the Very Bad. He was wanted for stealing 5,000 pounds of butter and consuming it all in one night! Camel whispered to Joe, “Hey! I need a place to stay for the night. They’re hot on my trail.” Joe responded. “No way! I can’t risk the police finding me with all these Girl Scout Cookies. They’ll book me for sure.”

Camel replied saying, “Oh. Well, I was going to come in either way.” Then Camel started to enter Joe’s tent and Joe exclaimed. “No! Get out! There’s not enough room for the both of us!” Camel responded saying, “Which means there’s room for one of us. And it’s going to be me.” Joe protested by throwing a box of cookies at the impolite camel but Camel ate it. Then Joe threw another box of cookies. And another, and another but to no avail because Camel just kept eating them. Then Joe threw a rock at Camel but Camel happily ate that also. Joe responded by expressing his astonishment by exclaiming, “Whoa.” Then Camel pushed Joe out of the tent along with his Girl Scout Cookies.

Then the desert police arrived looking for Camel but instead observed Joe lying on the ground covered in cookies. “It’s Joe the notorious cookie bandit!” Exclaimed the police chief. “And look!” Yelled officer Bert. “He’s got all the missing Girl Scout Cookies with him too!” Because Joe was not expecting these unexpected visitors, he decided to run for his Sandspeeder to make an epic escape. “You’ll never catch me officer Bert!” Announced Joe, as he hopped into his Sandspeeder and sped off as dramatically as he possibly could, which caused the entire police force to chase after him long into the desert night. Meanwhile, Camel delightfully ate all of Joe’s food and afterwards fell asleep. In his dream he could see Joe speeding across the desert frantically fleeing from the law. The End.
